3rd Cousins.

January 19th, 2010

Mya and Dylan visited with some extended family. Mya got to spend some time playing with her 3rd cousin, Carrie Ann. Mya told Carrie “mine” when Carrie tried to play with Dylan, but both kids seemed to have fun playing together. Carrie showed Mya how to shake her butt and later told her mom that she wanted a baby too.

Too Cute.

January 15th, 2010

Mya and Alex played together at Tumble Town this morning, before heading for some lunch and a late nap. Later, Mya visited Alex at his h0use, where he pushed her around on his scooter. As they were getting ready to say their goodbyes and give each other their normal hugs, Alex kissed Mya and said “I love you Mya.” Too cute.

Dylan’s First Snow.

January 11th, 2010

Mya and Dylan hung out with Alex at the farm show today. The kids played musical positions, as they switched from the stroller, to arms, to carriers, the entire time. The kids got to see turkeys, chickens, horses, cows, a bison and baby ducks. When they were getting ready to leave, Dylan got his first sight of snow, which was only laying on the cars and grass.

Farm Show.

January 10th, 2010

Mya and Dylan got to attend their first farm show expedition today. Mya had her first attempt at milking a (fake) cow, although was not so excited about the idea. She got to see pigs, cows (which she continually said “moo” to), a bull, alpacas and sheep. She also got to watch the dog show, where canines chased discs and showed their ability to find a lost child.

Dylan’s First Roadtrip.

January 9th, 2010

Mya and Dylan left on Dylan’s first roadtrip today, where they would spend a few weeks visiting family and friends in Pennsylvania. After leaving PA, the kids will meet up with their dad and head to New York for a visit with more family and friends. Both kids were very good on the trip, with only one brief stop for Dylan to eat before they met up with Grandma and Grandpa Glatfelter in Virginia for lunch. Mya was quite excited to get to her grandparents’ house; before she ever got through the door, she was yelling “Bud. Hi Bud” to their golden retriever. Mya loves petting Bud and throwing his ball for him.

Gingerbread Cookies.

January 5th, 2010

Mya got to sit down with family friend, Mel, to decorate gingerbread cookies. Mya was not so interested in decorating, as she was in eating the icing off the cookies. She cleared the icing off a few cookies, leaving the gingerbread cookies sitting naked on the table.

Pop Rocks

January 4th, 2010

Mya got a chance to try pop rocks today, although it did not phase her one bit. She just shoved the candy in her mouth with no acknowledgment of the popping.

Dylan’s First Bottle

January 3rd, 2010

Mya introduced Dylan to his first bottle today. She had a little trouble understanding the concept of tilting the bottle so Dylan could drink, so she only helped for a minute before Daddy took over.

Darcy’s Birthday Party.

January 2nd, 2010

Mya headed over to Gymboree today for her friend, Darcy’s, second birthday party. Darcy’s previous nanny is no longer caring for Darcy, so it may be the last time Mya gets to see Darcy for a while. The two briefly played together before celebrating with some cake. Mya gave Darcy a hug goodbye, although she probably does not realize yet the goodbye might be longer than expected, considering the two used to have playdates together a lot.

After months of hearing 1-2-3 before shampoo was washed out of her hair in the shower, this morning Mya put her hands over her eyes before the count of 3. While many kids battle to have water poured over their heads, Mya happily enjoys playing in the water during showertime.
