Mya spent her first vacation in Virginia Beach for the weekend. Her trip began Friday night, where she got to experience her first underwater tunnel. Saturday she got to sit on the beach for a little, although the water was a little too cold to feel. Then she was introduced to the pool at the hotel, but the water was a little chilly there too, so the swim was short but enjoyable. Later, she walked the boardwalk with mommy and daddy.

Sunday Mya took her first aquarium visit to the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center. She got to see all sorts of fish, sharks, turtles and stingrays, although missed the otters, birds and frogs when she fell asleep during the second half of the visit. Overall, Mya had a great trip with barely any crying and no fussiness.

Also, Mya has discovered her hands and they are continually being moved to her mouth to suck on. Below is a picture of Mya relaxing by the hot tub.

P.S. Mya slept 12 hours straight Thursday night and 10 hours Saturday night.

Yesterday Mya turned 2 months old. And on that note, so comes the 2 month appointment.
Length: 22-1/2 in. (54th percentile)
Weight: 10 lbs. 6.6 oz. (38th percentile)
Head circumference: 14-1/2 cm. (11th percentile)
Today she got 3 shots & an oral dose of Rotateq (Rotavirus.) The 3 injections were Pediarix (diptheria, polio, hepatitis B, tetanus, pertussis), HIB (Hemophilus Influenza) and Prevnar (Strept Pneumonia.) She, as expected, cried for every shot (and even the oral dose), but calmed down as soon as she was picked up. Other than that, she is growing well and is healthy.

Mya headed to Juniata College with Scott, Kristin and Piere today for the annual pigroast. Unfortunately, she had a very messy diaper before pigroast began, thus ending in a bath outside of the car for mommy and her. Mya got to enjoy the beautiful weather and met a lot of her parents’ friends from college. Later, they headed to York for game night, where Mya got to see her friends, Kaden and AJ. Although Kaden and AJ (briefly) layed down for bedtime around 8, Mya sat around watching everyone play games until she fell asleep.

Mya was introduced to the shower today. She loved the water and did not cry until she got out of the shower. The entire time she was sticking her tongue out trying to eat the water.

Mya got her first opportunity in the garden tub in her parents’ bathroom today. Although it was far from a bath (more like swimming), Mya really enjoyed the water and spent some time getting used to hanging out in the water so she could enjoy the pool in a few weeks.

Today Mya headed with mommy and daddy to York. She got to see Grandma & Grandpa Glatfelter and then hung out with Bryce at his daddy’s baseball game. Later, she watched daddy play with his new RC car, even though it was short-lived when Scott wrecked it into a flag pole.

Last night Mya slept for 6 hours! This is a positive change from her normal 2-3 hours. Scott and Kristin had decided to swaddle her and definitely plan to continue swaddling in the future.
Today, a bunch of family and friends stopped by for Grandma Gonzalez’s birthday and to visit with Mya.

Mya visited her first IHop today, where she got to meet some of her parents’ friends. She received her first bikini from Mel and Matt, which will be beneficial for Mya’s vacation coming up. Later, she went to Grandma & Grandpa Gonzalez’s house, where she was visited by many people.
