Another long weekend.
June 29th, 2008North Carolina
June 22nd, 2008Mya had an exceptionally long weekend traveling in the car seat. For those who may not know, Scott was offered a job in Durham, NC. The family spent the weekend in North Carolina looking at houses. Mya’s current house went onto the market June 19th and by the afternoon of June 20th, it had been sold. The family is set to move by August 6th.
Taking a break to visit the park.
Swimming at the hotel pool.
Maryland
June 9th, 2008Today Mya and Kristin headed down to Inner Harbor in Maryland to meet up with Laur. They spent the day visiting the National Aquarium in Baltimore and Body Worlds at the Science Center. Later, they headed to the top of the World Trade Center Institute to check out the view of Baltimore. Mya had so many things to do and check out that she barely slept the entire day. Kristin and Mya said their goodbyes to Laur so they could head to the airport to pick up Scott. By this point, Mya was so exhausted that she did not even stay awake to greet her daddy.

June 6th, 2008Drive-ins and Picnic
June 1st, 2008Saturday Mya went to see her first drive-in movie. The two movies being played were Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Iron Man. Although Mya got a little fussy towards the end (because it was way past her bedtime), she did well most of the time. Today was also her first time being away from both mom and dad for more than a few hours.
Sunday she went on her first picnic with mom and dad. They went to Fort Hunter and sat by the river. The three agreed that they enjoyed the picnic and should attempt one each month.
Gymboree!
May 29th, 2008Mya had her first day at Gymboree today. Mya had no problems at class (seemed to enjoy the class), which included 4 other babies and their moms. She especially enjoyed tummy time, which allowed the babies to use a mirror below and beside them. She learned about object permanence using a scarf, which was also used to help her learn how different objects in her world work.
