Best of Luck Chester.

August 3rd, 2008

Today Mya met a lot of family at her mom’s annual family reunion. Mya was introduced to two of her newest cousins, although she was the youngest of the three.

Later Mya said her final goodbyes to the family dog, Chester. Although it will be rough, he will be greatly missed, even by Mya, who enjoyed sticking her hand out to pet Chester and having him lick her.

Rolling Over.

July 31st, 2008

Mya has, on a few occasions, coincidently rolled over from her tummy to her back. So when she did it yesterday, her mom thought nothing of it. Then today she was hanging out with Alex and rolled over two times in a row. When she went to visit Grandma Glatfelter, she showed her the new trick she had learned.

Oatmeal.

July 29th, 2008

We have a winner! Mya definitely likes the oatmeal cereal a lot better than the rice. She does not like it runny either; she seems to enjoy the oatmeal when it is a thicker consistency.

Rice Cereal.

July 22nd, 2008

Mya was introduced to rice cereal today. It was so messy that Kristin and Scott almost wondered if Mya was ready to start solids.

So Many Boxes.

July 20th, 2008

Mya headed out to the pool today with all her family and friends who had helped her move. They grilled hot dogs and hamburgers and took a break from the chaos.

The Big Move.

July 19th, 2008

Mya spent her last day in Harrisburg and hit the busy highways headed south to North Carolina. With daddy and Uncle Adam driving the truck, Mya and her very helpful friends and family followed slowly behind. With two babies, the cat, the dog and a bunch of fish, the trip took approximately 9 hours. Grandma Glatfelter, Gayle, Laur, Dane, Jess, Alex and Grandma Gonzalez also helped make the move a little easier.

A Break From Packing.

July 13th, 2008

Today Mya took a break from packing and spent the day with Alex, getting their pictures taken and going swimming. She had her first experience being dunked under the water, but after watching Alex and realizing it was not so bad, she seemed to take the experience fairly well.

Fireworks.

July 6th, 2008

Mya visited with some friends and family today before heading back home. She then headed out with some family friends to have her first experience watching the fireworks. Although they were far enough away to avoid hearing the fireworks, Mya enjoyed the fireworks briefly before falling asleep way past her bedtime.

Where did everyone go?

July 5th, 2008

Mya spent the night with Uncle Adam and Aunt Erin while her mom and dad went to a wedding. It was the first time Scott and Kristin spent time together away from Mya.

Independence Day

July 4th, 2008

Today Mya rode the train from Harrisburg to New York with her mom. It was her first time on the train and Mya had some trouble getting used to the experience. The ride started out ok, but a half an hour into the ride, Mya got quite fussy. She met two nice ladies who played with her and helped her feel better during the ride. Later, Mya and Kristin took the LIRR, where she met up with her dad. They drove back to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Gonzalez for the night.
