More Friends.

September 23rd, 2008

Mya and Kristin are in PA for a week and a half. Today Mya got to meet a family friend, Taylor, who was teaching Mya to crawl.

Greek Festival.

September 21st, 2008

Mya went to a Greek Fest and street fair with her parents and grandparents (Glatfelter) today. She enjoyed some ice cream and children dancing while celebrating Grandma Glatfelter’s birthday.

First Finger Food.

September 20th, 2008

Mya and her parents headed out to the country for the remote-controlled aircraft show. Mya watched as participants flew different helicopters and airplanes around. One of the airplanes even had a 4-cylinder engine and the aircraft itself was about a foot longer than Mya herself.

New veggie of the day: zucchini.

She also attempted her first finger food today: zwieback toast.

Airlie Gardens.

September 19th, 2008

Mya, Kristin and Grandma and Grandpa Glatfelter toured a few gardens today. At an arboretum, Mya fed the fish, one of which was so large that Mya could have stuck both of her fists into his mouth. She was found in the children’s garden playing with the tea set.

Mya also had her try at the water fountain today. There was not a huge puddle afterwards (just a little one.)

Those Waves Sneak Up.

September 18th, 2008

Mya will now stand in the sand (with help) and let the waves roll over her. She did so well at the beach today that she even got soaked from a wave (mom did not see it coming) and it did not bother her. She caught her breath and continued to play in the waves.

First Boat Ride.

September 17th, 2008

Mya took her first boat ride today with her mom and Grandma and Grandpa Glatfelter. It was a scenic riverboat through Wilmington, NC. Although Mya slept through a lot of the ride, she did not seem to get sea sick.

Day at the Beach.

September 16th, 2008

Mya, Kristin and Grandma and Grandpa Glatfelter headed out to the beach today. They are spending the week at Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina. Mya has finally warmed up to the waves at the beach and seemed to enjoy getting her feet wet. She was buried in sand up to her waist, although was not too fond of the idea and did not sit long enough for a picture.

First Fair.

September 13th, 2008

After a long night of driving to PA Friday, Mya and her parents headed out to Mya’s first county fair in the morning. The weather was fairly warm, but Mya got to see the rides she could ride on when she gets a little bigger. She also got to see a really tall lady on stilts.

Later, the family headed over to a friend’s wedding for the night. Mya got to hang out with her friend, Kaden, both of whom stayed up late to enjoy the wedding. The two were found on the dance floor together.

Mya had her first fruit today: pears. Yum.

6 months old.

September 6th, 2008

Mya’s 6-month birthday. Hard to believe that she is already 1/2 a year old. She is currently experiencing the first cold in her lifetime, which has really messed up her sleep schedule.

Length: 25 in. (25th percentile)

Weight: 14 lbs. 0.5 oz. (15th percentile)

Head circumference: 16 1/8 in. (15th percentile)

New veggie of the week: eggplant.

Doing her push-ups.

A Change.

August 31st, 2008

This weekend Mya relaxed around the house with her parents and played with the new kittens. Mya laughs at them when they play and grabs at them when they come near. She is in the process of learning how to nicely pet the kittens.

New veggie of the week: carrots. This meant the new world of everything from Mya’s face to her butt staining orange.
