Table Foods.
November 5th, 2008Today Mya has begun to eat real food. Her parents decided that since Mya is doing well eating chunks of food, that she could eat more table food. There are some foods that will be left out of her diet for a little while, such as nuts, honey, seafood, junk food, soda and juices, but she was eating cheese and Nutri-grain bars today.
Also, Mya is babbling up quite a storm recently. Most of the words have not become anything definite yet thoughh.
Kiwi.
November 4th, 2008Pulling Up.
November 2nd, 2008This morning Mya pulled up on the couch all by herself. She was so proud of herself that she did it quite a few times. (Maybe this is why she has been waking up during the night… to stand.)
She enjoyed lunch with Uncle Adam and Aunt Erin and then took them out to play with Daddy’s RC car. Mya seemed to be a little scared of the noise from the RC car, but played in the grass further away before having to say goodbyes to the family.
New food of the day: eggs. (yolks, since whites aren’t “supposed” to be introduced until age 1.)
First Hush Puppy.
November 1st, 2008Uncle Adam and Aunt Erin came down from New York for a visit this weekend. Although pumpkinpalooza turned out to be a bust, everyone enjoyed lunch together and then headed to the park to play.
Today Mya also took her first steps alone with her walker. Ever since Mya has learned to crawl and started pulling up (with assistance), she has been wanting to stand and walk, so she is normally found trying to stand on the person sitting on the floor so they will help her.
New food of the day: hush puppy.
Happy Halloween!
October 31st, 2008Today Mya attempted day #2 of getting her picture taken (yesterday resulted in few good pictures). Later, she went for a walk with Zoe, although they both slept the entire time.
Once her dad arrived home, Mya headed out to the local mall for trick-or-treat night. Although Mya is still a little too young to collect candy, she got to watch the other kids walk around in their costumes.
