First Airplane Ride.

December 28th, 2008

Mya said her goodbyes to her grandparents today and headed home with her parents. She took her first airplane ride, although she did not seem to realize what was going on. Mya was very good on the plane and did not fuss once, simply played with her toys and ate some snacks.

More Celebrations.

December 26th, 2008

Today Mya went out for lunch with some of her parents’ friends. She showed off some more and then headed back to her grandparents’ house for more Christmas celebrations with friends. By the end of the night, Mya was quite exhausted and clingy to her mom.

Christmas #3 (Actual Christmas Day)

December 25th, 2008

This morning Mya said her goodbyes to Grandma and Grandpa Glatfelter and headed up the road to New York to celebrate Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Gonzalez. She opened presents from her grandparents and Uncle Adam and Aunt Erin, although had not mastered the concept of unwrapping presents.

Later, many family and friends visited for dinner and Mya, who knew she was the center of attention, played her part. She gave high-fives, waved at everyone and danced to more musical toys. By the end of the night, she was quite exhausted from her busy day.

Christmas #2 (Christmas Eve.)

December 24th, 2008

Mya celebrated Christmas with her mom’s side of the family today. She danced to some of her musical toys, although was still not too anxious to unwrap her presents. She received a 5-foot slide, yet was not excited about taking a ride, most likely because of her last experience with a slide.

Mya has begun to wave good-bye today.

Gingerbread Cookies.

December 23rd, 2008

Mya (with help from her parents) participated in the decorating of gingerbread cookies. Although Mya was unable to eat her masterpiece due to how hard it was, she did enjoy a banana cookie instead.

In the evening, Mya and her parents went to see the local winter festival of lights at a local park. Although the temperature was way below freezing, Mya was extremely bundled up and watched intently as they walked through the maze of lights.

Ultimate Playzone.

December 22nd, 2008

Today Mya and Alex went to the Ultimate Playzone in Maryland, which includes various inflatable play stations, slides, castles and a life-size doll house. Mya was laughing so hard as she bounced on the inflatables, crawled through the doll house and attempted to ride the wheely bugs. She did, however, not enjoy the fast 15-foot slide that she rode herself. Overall, she seemed to have fun and was so exhausted that she was asleep as soon as she got into her carseat.

Fever-y Days.

December 18th, 2008

Mya is on her third day of running a fever of 103, although the Dr. simply has her taking Tylenol and Pediasure (to avoid dehydration). She has not been drinking or eating much the past few days because of her illness. She does not really have any other symptoms besides the fever, so she is playing and laughing like normal.

Today Mya hung out with Luke by visiting Cotton the Clown, going to lunch and then shopping. While their parents were shopping, Mya and Luke sat in the carts and screamed at each other at the top of their lungs. They would laugh at each other and do it again, which could be heard throughout the store. People were walking past laughing at them, but they were having too much fun to even notice.
