Dylan was unable to leave the hospital today, due to a 48-hr restriction on some lab tests. Since he arrived in the world so quickly, he had not had time to receive the recommended amount of antibiotics to protect him from Group B Beta Strep. Everything else with his health allowed him to be released from the hospital, but the pediatrician wanted to keep him overnight in case he had acquired an infection.

While Scott was home spending some time with Mya, Dylan surprised his mom with a fun-filled diaper change. As Kristin tried to change his diaper, he began to have a bowel movement while his diaper was open all over his mom. As she attempted to quickly clean him up, Dylan proceeded to pee all over the place. The next thing Kristin knew, the alarms had sounded and a nurse came to the room. Apparently the band around a newborn’s foot not only sounds when they get close to the exits, but also if they become wet.
